WYP attended WSBF Roundtable Discussion at Westminster

Wei Yang & Partners, member of the Westminster Sustainable Business Forum (WSBF), joined other industry stakeholders to discuss how to improve building standards in the construction industry.

The session was chaired by Dr Roberta Blackman-Woods MP, Shadow Minster for Housing, Communities and Local Government (Planning). High level representatives from key UK businesses, civil servants and other professional organisations debated on pressing issues of the industry - construction methods, build quality, energy efficiency, building safety and product innovation - and called for a holistic approach in improving building standards.

Jun Huang, Design Partner, drew the table’s attention to specific issues of builder qualification in the UK, clarification of NHBC warranty, and post occupancy monitoring on certified sustainable design.
