Today, Dr Wei Yang delivered a keynote speech at Council of Heads of the Built Environment (CHOBE) 20th Anniversary Conference at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), London.
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of CHOBE, an organisation that aims to ‘support and represent those with strategic responsibility for the development and delivery of higher education within the disciplines of construction, property and surveying.’
The event’s theme, ‘Collaborative Futures: Practice, Professions & Pedagogy’, delves into the shifting landscape of higher education and its impact on future-learning, technological progress, as well as changing student and industry expectations.
Dr Yang's speech, "The Interdisciplinary Future of Built Environment Education," highlights the importance of interdisciplinary education in the built environment. She shares her thoughts on the need for improved collaboration between research, practice, education, and lifelong learning.
